Workshop Location, Travel, & Lodgings:
The Workshop will take place on the campus of the School
for International Training (SIT) in Brattleboro, Vermont 05302. Brattleboro
is a large town/small city located in central New England on the Connecticut
River and Interstate Highway 91, in the southeast corner of the state of Vermont,
about 200 miles northeast of New York City, 220 miles south of Montreal, and
110 miles northwest of Boston. Brattleboro is serviced by bus, train, and
limousine service from airports in the region.
Workshop Registration and all sessions will take place

The Friday evening reception and Saturday lunch will be held in the SIT International
Center.

Flying:
Airports in the region include Hartford-Springfield
Bradley (BDL), Manchester (MHT), Boston Logan (BOS), and New York Kennedy
(JFK).

Travel by train:
The AMTRAK "Vermonter"
runs daily between Union Station in Washington, D.C. and St. Albans, Vermont,
stopping in Brattleboro (BRA). Check the route and schedules at www.amtrak.com.
From the Brattleboro train stop, at 10 Vernon Road, it is a very short walk
to the Latchis Hotel http://www.latchis.com/hotel.html
(see below) at 50 Main Street. Note that the Vermonter is scheduled to arrive
in Brattleboro at 5:10pm.
By car:
If driving, follow Interstate 91 to Exit 3 in Vermont.
Follow the exit ramp to a roundabout, take the first right out of the roundabout
onto Putney Road (Route 5) South. Proceed southbound on Putney Road one quarter
mile to Black Mountain Road (traffic light). Turn right at the light and follow
road over I-91 overpass. After two rather sharp curves, Black Mountain Road
bears to the left. You bear right onto Kipling Road, to the top of the hill.
Turn left at first opportunity -- Dickinson Road -- and take first right onto
Wallace Way. Stop at the directory for further directions for parking and
building locations.

Attire:
Be sure to dress for winter weather (cold, snow,
ice, wind, etc.), including winter footwear, gloves, hat, warm
coat, etc. For the meeting itself, business casual.

Situated in downtown Brattleboro, at 50 Main Street, about 3 miles from SIT.
The Latchis Hotel is located in the Latchis Memorial Building, an Art Deco
landmark structure on the National Register of Historic Places. When making
your reservation, tell them that you will be attending the workshop at SIT,
and ask for the "corporate" rate. If driving, take I-91 to Exit
2. Parking available. Very short walk from the train station.
